If I use Format->cells in a table that has formatting for blocks of
cells, unpredictable results occur. For example, in a table with groups
of cells with horizontal borders set for the entire group, if I try to
format a single cell's alignment different from the rest of the group,

Note that the same does not occur when using the toolbar buttons (at
least, it hasn't happened yet).
