I use Foxit reader rather than Adobe Acrobat, lot smaller and faster
program. Google will take you to home page.

Thanks....
I'll try to be as specific as I can be, as was suggested. Just now
I downloaded a self tutorial from OOo, to pdf format, then I opened
my OOo program and opened the tutorial file and below is what I got,
at the top of each page, various forms of below:
%PDF-1.4
%äüöß
2 0 obj
<</Length 3 0 R/Filter/FlateDecode>>
stream
xœí\ÙŽ,·
What do I need to do, to be able to open up the tutorial file with
OOo, so I don't have to flip back and forth. Thought this would be
a much easier way for me to do the lessons, while actually in the
OOo program.
