I am very impressed with the help I am getting.
I comment below on your instructions:
Click somewhere off the slide. Then click within the text box.
This should place six "handles" (green squares) around the text box.
YES THIS HAPPENS
The text box should also be outlined with a border of slanted lines.
Within the text box should be a cursor. Use the End key to move the
