Although your suggestion is noble, I have stopped using NeoOffice for several reasons. One of them is that it will perform poorly on a minimal system because of the methods it uses for displaying data. I suggest the following: Install OpenOffice.org and X11 User packages. If you do not like nor desire to use the X11 interface as it is a UNIX based windowing system and controls all programs run within it, then try NeoOffice. And there are still ten major bugs that exist that need a solution and then the Mac OS X Native porting team will release an Alpha build for review.
