An administrator to do what exactly? This is the OpenOffice (volunteer) support group. That's as official as it gets. The software is free; so is the support. The volunteer support group is run by people around the world working in our spare time for no pay.

I'm fairly confident that if you clearly explain your problem and give proper details of things like the exact version you are using, the OS and version you are using etc. that we will be able to help. Please don't send attachments; most get stripped anyway. Be aware that this is a mail list; your message will be seen by hundreds of people.

OpenOffice software is free to download and use on as many computers as you like in any context you like - business, personal, educational, etc. Check (or have your lawyer check) the licence details at http://www.openoffice.org/license.html

Thanks for posting and thanks for volunteering.

I use OpenOffice Writer and Calc and think they are great. I was trying to logon to the forums and the forgot password wizard told me to contact an administrator. My account is inactive, actually never completed registration. Part of the problem was the fact that I was trying to register via FoxFire and it has trouble with confirmation codes ( I used correct case). Further attempts to register informed me that my e-mail addresses were already assigned.

E-mail addresses:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Password I tried was most likely
wlweller.

User ID is usually
jhite
jvhite
OR
HMS Surprise

Sorry I cannot remember explicitly but I had a recent injury that affects my memory.

Best Regards,

John Hite
