Are you having any problems with other applications?

How do you fare if you launch OOo as root (which you probably can't do on
Ubuntu) or as another user?

Sorry that I had to snip so much.  Nabble is under maintenance tonight and I'm
having to use this [EMAIL PROTECTED] gmane service with all its pettifogging 
rules.
