Since IBM has taken over Lotus some years ago, they did not really further
develope
the components of the Lotus-Smart-Suite -
WordPro (*.lwp)
Spreadsheed 1-2-3 (*.123)
Presentation Freelance (*.prz)
Approach Database (*.apr)
Organizer (*.or5).
IMHO the only one that OOo can import is .123 files. You may need to
convert the others to another more generic format which can then be
imported into OOo. One comment about .lwp found was that there was not
alot of documentation around on the file format itself, therefore no
filter could be built.
*** if YES, are there any hints or tricks to be applied or is it as easy as it
is told on the
webpage of the "Openoffice" software ?
Mostly the answer is no. Therefore there will be some work required to
get these files into OOo.
*** Just one additional Question:
Does the "Openoffice-Software support the new "U3" technology with the
USB-Flash-Drives ?
Don't know much about U3 technology but according to there website OOo
runs just fine on a U3 USB drive
(http://www.u3.com/smart/default.aspx). You can of course simply
download the portable version of OOo from here and avoid paying for a
flashy USB drive

Huh ?? Defender doesn't stop spyware (Webroot) ; firewall is only 50%
effective (Zdnet) ; UAC can be turned off and is annoying ; SP1 (incl
security reasons) due end of 2007...
