Dr. Griffa: Please look at the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) item from the Porting project web site. There are several suggestions on fixing this problem. I also suggest the following as it appears there was a problem with the initial startup of the program after installation. Click on the Macintosh HD item and open the folder with your user name. This is located on the left hand side and should be the second item below the separator. Open the Library folder and then the Application Support folder. There should be a folder named OpenOffice.org 2.1 there. Please delete this folder and attempt to start OpenOffice.org 2.1 again. This corrects this problem in most cases. You have written to a mailing list where users of OpenOffice.org assist other users with problems on a volunteer basis. I am but one of those users. Please send replies to the mailing list and please subscribe or review the archives for other answers to your problem. Also, please be aware that I have blocked unsolicited messages from the hotmail.com domain and any such messages will be deleted by my ISP without review.
