Here is a suggestion. Make a copy of the *.oot file in a
different folder from the original *.oot file. Then rename the copy
so that its file extension is changed from .oot to .odt. See if you
can then open the file using OpenOffice.org.
If this does not work, you will probably have to unzip the .oot
file and extract the content.xml file to get your data back. Someone
else will on this mailing list will have to explain to you how to do
that.
