Hi Steve,

No, there's no mail client bundled with OpenOffice.org.
As open source mail client you can use (among others) *Thunderbird* ( http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/ ) or if you rather like a complete internet suite (browser+mail+IRC+HTML editor), *SeaMonkey* ( http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/ ). These are very good products, the latest being the successor of *Netscape Communicator*, once used to it, it becomes a very effective tool to work with the internet and you won't want anything else ;-).

Regards,
             Nomax.

Hi there,

I am new to the open source community as well as OpenOffice. I have noted
that there does not seem to be an Outlook-equivalent component (i.e. a mail
client) bundled with OpenOffice. Am I correct? If so, can you recommend a
reliable open source mail client?

Thanks,

Steve
