First, about "calc of yours", most people here are just like you (and me): OpenOffice.org users who help each other out. I guess there are some developers here now and then as well, but this is basically a list of volunteers and other users. I think most people here are like me: Sometimes they ask questions and sometimes they answer questions from other users.
Now I will try to take a look at your question: First of all, upgrade to 2.1, if there is no special reason for not to. On my system, OpenOffice.org 2.1 on Windows XP SP2, there is no such thing as a save icon at Tools -> Macros. Maybe there was in OpenOffice.org 2.0.3, I don't know. There is no need for it anyway. When I create a macro I do like this: Tools->Macros->Arrange Macros->OpenOffice.org Basic It seems like you want to save your macros in the currently opened document, rather than globally. If that's the case, click you way down the tree in the "Macro from" box. If your file is named "Filename.ods", then click the "+" next to Filename, then the "+" next to Standard. Click new if you want to create a new module. If you already have one that you want to add things to, click that module and then Edit. The basic window now opens and you can create your macro. When done, all you need is to save your file. The macro will be saved in it. Next time you open that file, the macro is there. I tried it a few minutes ago, and it worked well. So exactly what do you do that doesn't work for you? The save button in the macro window (where you write your macros) seems to be the same as the save button for the calc document. Both the document and the macro seems to be saved at the same time. Maybe someone will correct me on this, however. Regards Johnny Andersson
