You can download OpenOffice from www.openoffice.org. It is a full office suite that is compatible with MS Office and it will run on Windows 98. OpenOffice, by default, save files in the ISO standard ODF format, but can also save in MS Office formats. You can even change the default to MS Offfice.

 I don't understand your 3rd question.
