Thanks for all the responses, but it's still not working. I've used the control v, but I still can't paste. When I go to the "Edit" menu in OO.oAND in X11, the "Paste" option is grayed out in both places. I can past into all the OTHER apps. Just not the X11 Window with my OO document. I also tried changing the last checkmark under the X11 prefs. No luck. I'm getting sort of desperate, because I spend a LOT of time moving info back and forth. The inability to paste things into my documents is a deal-killer. It makes OO.o unusable. ANY other ideas? Please? I'd hate to be forced to install Parallels and XP JUST so I can run the Windows version of OO.org. I just bought my Macbook about a month ago. Hello, I don't have the copy/paste problem at all!! Dutch version of 2.2 RC4 on Intel Mac. I can copy a bloc of text form Mail, Safari, etc. and paste directly in a Write document. I can use all available controls: keyboard combination, mouse combination, menu choice. So BOTH control and apple-C and -V work. About the mailing list: you can send questions concerning OpenOffice.org on Mac to the users list. This list also serves for Windows and Linux users, but you'll find more users ther, and so more possible answers to your questions. There is a separate mac list (but expect to find there also some mails from the mac developers team that will be quite unintelligible for you): [email protected] (To subscribe to the list, send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Maybe check you have the latest updates (Mac OSX is at 10.4.9, X11 is at 1.1.3, and I use the ('unstable' because dutch) version 2.2 of OOo). Good luck -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.2 RC 4 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.2 RC 4 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
