     You might want to create a query for this. Using the Create Query 
in Design View, list the RSVP field. Click the f(x) in the toolbar at 
the top so that the function row appears at the bottom. Click the 
function cell of the RSVP field, and a dropdown list appears. Select 
Sum. Then run the query.
