The problem is not as serious as you might think. MS Office 2007
is not disabled. This is simply a file association problem. To solve
this problem, right click on a Word document. Select Open with. Then
select MS Word 2007 as the program you want to use to open the
document. Finally tick the box labeled "Always use to open this type
of file" (or words to that effect). Then click OK. Do this for each
type of MS Office files you have.
If you really want to remove OpenOffice.org 2.1.0 from your
system, you must first close the Quickstarter in the System tray. It
is an icon with three birds flying on a blue and gray background.
Once you have closed it, you can use the Control Panel's Add/Remove
program to remove OOo.
