I have the stock OOo on SuSE 10.1.

It crashes during the boot splash, with:
find: /home/dcorking/.mozilla/firefox/yhklqowy.default/CT206790:
Permission denied
no suitable windowing system found, exiting.

** (process:12902): WARNING **: Unknown error forking main binary /
abnormal early exit ...

I have googled the subject, and taken an strace (190 lines). But I
can't make sense of the strace log, so I have posted it to
http://paste.lisp.org/display/39834

What would you suggest as my next step to troubleshoot this?

David
From mailing list archives this problem seemed mainly concerned with
RPM's in the passed. Uninstalling and re-installing from correct
sources seemed to have fixed the problem in the passed as well.

When you say stock OOo - did you get it from the OOo website or is
this the Suse'ed

Potentially try the other version and see if the problem persists...

Huh ?? Defender doesn't stop spyware (Webroot) ; firewall is only 50%
effective (Zdnet) ; UAC can be turned off and is annoying ; SP1 (incl
security reasons) due end of 2007...
