Yup, done that (if I understand correctly). All paragraphs are numbered
with the Outline "top row; third from left; second from right" under the
"Format > Bullets and Numbering... > Outline" dialogue.
you should choose Tools - Outline to number your paragraphs. Not the
Format - Bullets and Numbering dialog.
However, I did not realize at first that you want to number all your
paragraphs. The normal method is intended to work with heading
paragraphs, and normally you only have a few of them. I did not test
this when all paragraphs get numbers.
Then you can choose Insert - Fields - Other,
I think there's some info missing here - what tab are you selecting when
the "Fields" dialogue box comes up? I assume "Reference"? And, then
select "Set Reference" under the the "Type" coulomb?
If I do this and enter something in the "Name" field (eg Paras), then
there's no action available to perform - other than "Close" and "Help".
that's what I meant. Do you mean the Insert button is grey and gets not
enabled even when you enter a name? Or is there no Insert button at all?
Both would be bugs in the software.
