I use Open Office. Sometimes upon opening attached files I send/receive, they
are encrypted.

How do you mean encrypted? Are you prompted for a password prior to
opening or is what you see on the screen gobbly-d-gook.... If you are
opening OOo files that have been saved in the OOo format (eg, .odt)
using MS Office then they will look very scrambled.

Are you trying to open MS Office new format (eg, .docx) files using
OOo - that will also cause strange looking characters on the
screen.... Little more info and I'm sure we can supply the answer...

Vista is "dramatically more secure than any other operating system
released" Bill Gates
Huh ?? Defender doesn't stop spyware (Webroot) ; firewall is only 50%
effective (Zdnet) ; UAC can be turned off and is annoying ; SP1 (incl
security reasons) due end of 2007...
