I have the new MAC 24" monitor PC and am confused as to the difference between Open Office and the Neo suite? I would like the most comprehensive. Please advise.
OpenOffice is the latest version (2.2), and requires that you have X11 installed (it's on your install disks). If you're used to Unix software, you will have no trouble with it. NeoOffice is generally a step behind (2.1) and runs a bit slower than OpenOffice (as if you could tell on these Core 2 Duo processors! :-). However, it has a much more Mac-like interface -- so if that's important to you, you would prefer NeoOffice. Personally, I keep both versions kicking around. Try them both and see which one you like better. -- Larry --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
