Sorry, but I had no problems with this. I have the OOo 2.2.0 version
from the OOo web site running on Mandriva 2007 Linux. Each paste took
less than 2 seconds to complete.
I copied the material from the web site and did three different
pastes:
1) Paste Special HTML text into a new HTML document,
2) Paste into a new HTML document, and
3) Paste into a new .odt document.
