A friend of mine suggested Open Office as an alternative to Powerpoint since opening .pps or .ppt files on my mac with Powerpoint freezes the computer. I've downloaded OO and 11X; but how do I direct the computer to use Open Office instead of Powerpoint when I open a .pps file?
I'm using Mac OS X 10.4.8 on a Intel mac.
