Hi Brian

I'm surprised at this suggestion. Sensible though it would be, I
cannot get this to work in my version of Writer (2.0.2 on Windows
XP): any attempt at entering a unit in the paragraph spacing box is
ignored in favour of the unit set in the configuration.

I tested it before I posted (Writer 2.04 on Win XP Pro), so it
definitely works. Works in Word and some other word processors, too.

My system is set to using centimetres by default. When I type "12pt"
into the field, it is automatically converted to "0.42cm" when I
progress to the next field. It works whether I put a space between the
"12" and "cm" or not.

Could you tell me more precisely what happens on your system?

Adrian
