If you download from the big green rectangular button on the http://www.openoffice.org website homepage you will only be given a link to the latest version innitially. The 2007 version, which is updated regularly. Many third party websites offer older versions to download or on CD. Legacy versions of OO.o do exist on the OO.o website but are harder to find and download. I actually wonder what site you downloaded from? > I admire your principles but it's all too difficult to follow so I've > picked up a second hand microsoft office 2004. Sorry and all that but > you need to get the system better co-ordinated for non computer > experts. > You have indeed ended up with an old program if you use MS Office 2004. OpenOffice was on version 1 back in 2004. Be very wary as to the legality of your second hand software. Much Microsoft software is sold OEM which means it is only licensed for use on the computer it was sold with. Be also very certain that your second hand software is not still installed on another computer which also makes your copy illegal. Remember you have announced your copy of Office 2004 to the whole world on this public list. -- Michael Linux: The OS people choose without $200,000,000 of persuasion. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
