Yes, Russell, I was able to read the messages in the forums but could not post or reply without establishing a user name and password. I erred when trying to use Roboform to generate a password and never could get that corrected. But that is not an issue now since I have found you guys! Now I have a question. What is the result of "discard" in Open Office? While trying different things several times I wanted out and got the option of cancel, discard, or save. Cancel would not work and I did not want to save my experiment. I clicked on discard. What did that do that a normal delete would not do?

No problem, Joyce.

Most prefer some trimming of replies, though I think the number of
people using dial-up and paying per KB has diminished over the years. We
used to get a lot of complaints when people would send back a three or
four page discussion with just a +1 added. Just decide how much will
keep the context clear.

I didn't think you need a user name/password just to read the forums,
nor the mail archives. You do to post IIRC. Likewise it is only
necessary to set up a login on openoffice.org if you want to report bugs
or comment/vote on existing bugs.

Regards

Russell
