Did your computer go into hibernate mode between opening and saving such
a file or did you load your file from a network drive that possibly lost
connection at least for a moment?
No, I'm working on my local drive and there is no suspend or hibernation
occurring. I've normally been working on the document for a while, try
to save and it fails, so I have to copy its contents to a new document
and save that.
Or do you have a tool running that cleans the "temp" folder while OOo or
the OOo quickstarter is still running?
Nothing like that running at all.
These are the most common root causes for the effect you described.
