2007/6/14, [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
I just tried to download a version of your software and after it finished,
it said it was verifying installers, and a message popped up saying it was a
corrupt file and never finished downloading

Hello

I suppose you have some version of Windows?
Did the download finish or not?
Probably Windows advised you not to install OpenOffice.org because it
is no MS product. Nevertheless, you can go ahead, whether MS likes it
or not.
You can check the validity of the download through the md5sum (see
link at the bottom of the green window on this page:
http://download.openoffice.org/2.2.1/index.html?focus=download)

In order to have a smooth install it is advisable however to 1.
disconnect the computer physically from internet - 2. disable
anti-virus and firewall programs - 3. install OOo - 4. re-enable
anti-virus and forewall - 5. reconnect with internet.
