Dear Roger,

My name is Christel and I am not one of the volunteers who devotely answer the
questions on this list.
I am but a humble user.
It is not my habit to answer any of the message I read ont the list. I merely
use this list as a database of tips and tricks for when I might encounter a
problem.

But you have used such strong rude words that I cannot leave your mail
unanswered.
Apart from Firefox, OpenOffice has been THE one flagship opensource piece of
software that is totally completely reliable, in some instance more powerful
than MsOffice, and has helped many non-profit organisations, or simply
individuals like me who cannot afford the Ms suite. In all instance that I
have shared a file with Ms Office users, there's never been a problem of
compatibility. In all instances that I closed the programme - provided I had
saved the file - I have never lost a single file. The mere concept of the OOo
being faulty had never even crossed my mind.
And I'm memory-intensive. I do complex cross-reference tables with heavy
financial formulas, long long texts on Writer with styles, imported graphs,
and the whole kaboom. Never had a singled glitch with saving.

I find the tone of your mail totally uncalled for, and insulting to the
developpers and volunteers, even to simple users like me, who use OOo
everyday - without a glitch. Hence my taking the time to write this reply.

You can go back to Microsoft.
SUN/Novell people, rest assured that there are thousands, if not millions, of
happy users of OOo who appreciate your work. We may not say it, but no
complaints is our best compliment. Listen to our overwhelming silence.

Christel
Johannesburg, South Africa.

Your Calc program is a failure. I spend hours working on a .csv files

sheets in the file and it deleted the second one I created without any

Going back to Microsoft. Don't know what other thing might be waiting to
 destroy my work.

Your bug or issue reporting does not save the user time. It is only for
 self centered you.

Hell of a way to promote SUN. Will not be using another product by SUN.
I will also be letting the internet know that their job is in limbo if
they try to use any SUN products.
