How do I open an .odt file with Microsoft Word ?
There are few Microsoft experts here - we use OpenOffice.org!
Firstly, I recommend that you email Microsoft with this question. In the
past they have claimed that none of their users were interested in opening
standard odt files. You might help change their minds! I believe they are
currently working on a solution.
Secondly, this web site offers a way of opening odt files on Word. I
haven't trid the solution though. (I don't own Word.)

Thirdly, there are free programs available (like OpenOffice.org, AbiWord
and Google Apps) that can open odt files. Since they are free, why not use
them?
