Hi Folks,
This is not a problem but a mild request (in other words, when you have
time). I use OpenOffice version 2.2 that came with my Ubuntu Linux 7.04.
This is on a dual-boot machine with Microsoft.
Since I have MS and am disabled, I use software to address envelopes
rather than laboriously doing it with a pen. Writing checks is bad
enough, thank you. I find that the envelope addressing utility in the
OpenOffice Word Processor is arcane and I have not been able to figure
out how to use it. I am always quitting Linux and firing up Microsoft so
I can do this task in Word, which is much more intuitive. I have a
LaserJet 4M Plus with a separate feed slot for envelopes and Microsoft
Word handles this task quite well. I would prefer staying in Linux since
it is such a much better OS rather than switching to Microsoft just for
this job.
Would you please consider improving the envelop addressing function in
the OpenOffice Word Processor sometime in the not-too-distant future?
Thanks so much,
Mike
