Hi! I successfully ported openoffice to Mac OS X through X11. It works great, however, there seems to be a problem getting openoffice to open a document on startup. In other words, if I ask the Mac to open say a .doc (word file) using openoffice (i.e., "open with") then openoffice will launch just fine but the requested document does not load at the time the applications starts up. You still have to manually open the file after open openoffice launches.
I have no doubt this is related to the porting issue, but is there any way to make an X11 application such as openoffice accept the command line "open file" parameter from OS X on startup?
