Welcome, OpenOffice.org can read, edit and save documents as MS Word. The contrary isn't the case; Word cannot read OOo files (.odt), so you need to save these as .doc files. In general your work in OOo will be very similar to the result you obtain in MS Word, but there are differences, since the way MS Word saves your documents is 'secret' and 'copyright'. You're free to download OOo from the www.openoffice.org site and distribute and use it on as many computers as you like: http://download.openoffice.org/2.3.0/index.html HTH -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.3 m221 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and brazilian OOo 2.3 RC 3 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
