    You have already received at least two answers to your question. Let me 
add this to what you already have.
http://www.openoffice.org/license.html has the license under which 
OpenOffice.org operates. Have the school lawyer read it over carefully. He 
should verify what has already been said: the license for a single copy is 
the same for a very large network.
    One added thing: the lawyer should also see that you are allowed to 
make a copy of this program for each one of your students so that they can 
install it on their home computer.
