mmh ... I never had seen such an alien-like window before ... but a similar problem was posted at 2007-09-22 ['Oo 2.3 install problem - OK ?????'] ... ... I'm not sure - but as far as I remember, it should be the time & place for the appearance of the First Start Wizard ... ... so please open Setup.xcu with a text editor [Path in WinXP ->] <...\Application_Data\OpenOffice.org2\user\registry\data\org\openoffice\Setup.xcu> Look at the following entries and values -> <node oor:name="Office"> <prop oor:name="ooSetupInstCompleted" oor:type="xs:boolean"> <value>true</value> </prop> <prop oor:name="LicenseAcceptDate" oor:type="xs:string"> <value>2007-07-17T11:38:50</value> </prop> <prop oor:name="FirstStartWizardCompleted" oor:type="xs:boolean"> <value>true</value> </prop> Do the same for Common.xcu (t's just at the beginning) <...\OpenOffice.org2\user\registry\data\org\openoffice\Office\Common.xcu> </prop> </node> <node oor:name="Misc"> <prop oor:name="FirstRun" oor:type="xs:boolean"> <value>false</value> </prop> Please post the results to this thread [ it would be better to subscribe the list -> http://www.openoffice.org/mail_list.html ] ... and then perhaps some more ideas ...
