If Melville's answer doesn't help, you need to check whether you
downloaded and/or installed the right version of X11 and of
OpenOffice.org
There are different versions of X11 for Panther (10.3.x) and Tiger
(10.4.x), different versions of OOo for Panther, Tiger-PPC and
Tiger-Intel.

Therefore, it's advisable to read the how-to's on the mac porting pages
http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/
