On a dial up connection, yes it will take a very long time and it will probably not download correctly. You will probably have to download it several times before you get a copy that is not corrupt due to the long download on dial up.

I can save you the trouble if you want to spend $10.00 plus shipping for a CD.


While it will take hours, you can't assume it will be corrupt, given the
error detection in TCP/IP.  If an error occurs, a re-transmission of the
affected data will fix it.

Though, unless your dialup line is very reliable and error-free it is unlikely the an 11 hour transmission will complete without error, at least in my experience. When I was on dial-up I would never have been able to complete a download that long. I live in a suburb of Atlanta in an older subdivision with a lot of old infrastructure.
