Yes, and no. OpenOffice.org is a free office suite which contains a
program called Impress. Impress will read, write, and play PowerPoint
files with the exception of PowerPoint 2007. It is not PowerPoint though.
If you are on a dial-up system, it may take that long to download it.
Look for other sources for the program such as a CD in a computer
magazine. Or, if you have a good friend with broadband, have them download
the file and burn a CD for you. There is also a list of places you can
order a CD of OOo on the download page.
