Are you sure that it is a doc file, not just a file that has the .doc
extension? I write .doc files all the time with no problems.
Therefore, I want open office to review this as compatiablity issue/bug with
other word processor.

This is serious!!! If sameone saved under this program and tried to open onto other compatiable program,
If it is determined that this is really a .doc file and that the .doc
file has a problem, then the file should be added to a bug report in
issuezilla. On the other hand, I expect that I can create .doc files in
Word that WordPad can not handle. If not, then why would they sell Word
and give away Wordpad?
