There is no product key.  You said you downloaded OpenOffice.  Did you
also install it?  When you download the file you then have to double
click on it, to start the installation.  Did you do that?  Also, when
you install software in Windows, you often need Administrator rights. 
If this is your home computer, you should have the Adminstrator
password.  If it's a work computer, then you'll have to ask whoever
supports your computer for assistance.  If this is a work computer and
you cannot install OpenOffice, you might condsider the portable version
from portableapps.com.  This version installs on a USB connected drive
and doesn't have to be installed on the computer.
