I don't understand what OpenOffice has to do with you e-mail spell
checker. Do you use Windows Mail? As far as I am aware this requires
a separate spell checker. Perhaps you could send the exact error
message you received?
I don't use Vista or Windows Mail so I can't be of any further help I
don't think...
Have a go at doing what you describe as 'load[ing] the language back
in' and see if that does the trick. If you require further help just
post back to the list and I'm sure someone will be able to help you :)

I have just purchased a new computer with Vista. MS does not care
about Java. I updated Java and was able to download open office.
However when I down loaded open office, my spell checker in e-mail
was somehow disabled. I get a message saying the language is no
longer available for my spell checker and my spell checker is not
working. I believe I need to load the language back in. I haven't
had time to load it back and see what will happen, but I don't see
