Antivirus programs have been known to cause this error. http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=73434 Recommend that you: 1. Disconnect from the internet 2. Disable your Antivirus program 3. Reinstall OOo & make sure that it's working 4. Reenable your Antivirus program 5. Reboot 5. Reconnect to the internet.
