Hi Harold and thanks much for your prompt reply to my incomplete message. Please accept my apology. Below is a more complete description of what is happening.

I am using Windows XP Home Edition and SeaMonkey 1.1.5 for mail and browsing.

The message I get when I attempt to send Document as E-mail is: "The operation on :\DOCUME~1\Popper\LOCALS~1\Temp\svgpc.tmp was started with an invalid parameter." After clicking on the "OK", the following message comes up: "An error occurred in sending the message. Possible errors could be a missing user account or a defective setup. Please check the OpenOffice.org settings or your e-mail program settings."

As I said, I could not find anything in OpenOffice.org which pertained to email. However I did find "About Plug-ins" in Sea Monkey and OpenOffice.org Plug-in is listed among the Plug-ins. The items listed are numerous and they all have "yes" in the enabled column. I'd be happy to transcribe them, if you like.

I mean that two e-mail options, in OpenOffice, in File | Send > Document as E-mail and E-mail as Microsoft Excel *_do not_* work. However, File | Send > E-mail as PDF and E-mail as Open Document Spread-Sheet *_do_* work. When looking in Control Panel | Internet Options | Programs, the only mention of OpenOffice is under the heading of HTML. I have chosen SeaMonkey in all the other places available. Should I use OpenOffice for HTML or continue with SeaMonkey as my choice?

Thanks for your help, Harold, and, again, my apologies for making it more difficult.

Serge

PS Is there a site where all these emails are posted?
