I see bookmarks as more permanent features while I do not expect reminders
to be saved in the file. I do not use reminders often, but when I do is to
be able to jump quickly to a section of the document I need to consult while
writing a different section. You may argue that you could open an additional
window, but the text in the second window tends to scroll when you insert
text above it :-(
Also, I agree with Rolf, that too much configuration would make the
reminders too complicated to use and similar to bookmarks.
Ideally I would like to be able to set a reminder with a combination of keys
and jump to it with another combination of keys.

Cheers,

Michele
