The OpenOffice software can open most Word Documents except the latest
Word 2007. This is being worked on. It will also open most other word
processing documents with the exception of Microsoft works. Anyone with
Microsoft Word 2007 and Microsoft Works can save the file as a .doc
format and that is readable.
