No, he has a very good point. OOo does not default to the path set in Tools|Options|OpenOffice.org|Paths|MyDocuments when you File|Open. It does indeed default to the last directory that you opened/saved a document rather than the path directory. As for "little home icon": that is available when using OpenOffice.org dialogs & works, but is not available when using other dialogs. Plus it's just irritating to have to do so rather than have OOo automatically default to the Tools|Options|OpenOffice.org|Paths|MyDocuments path. Ditto for File|New|Templates and Documents.
