I've chucked away the the earlier parts of the thread, and you've done a big snip (I wish more would :-) ), so.... The discussion IIRC was about which directory OOo's file open/save dialogues would default to when the program started. Alternatives offered were the last one used, or the home directory. Neither terribly satisfactory, especially with two or more projects on the go, when it could be necessary to navigate around a directory heirarchy quite a lot. I merely suggested a list of recently used directories -- indeed along the lines of the MRU files list, but rather a logically distinct MRU /directories/ list (appearing, presumably, on the file open/save dialogue windows).
