1) OpenOffice is a free download from www.openoffice.org, so your husband paid someone for it, when he didn't have to. 2) You're looking for the word processor, which is called "Writer", which is comparable to Microsoft Word. However, one thing to bear in mind, is the default file format is the ISO standard ODT file type, which Microsoft refuses to support. This means you'll have to make sure to save in Word format, if you're sending your files to someone who requires it. Also, when you save, make sure automatic file extension is selected, as Word gets confused, if the file type is not selected. This doesn't happen when OpenOffice is used to open a file. Hopefully this helps. If not please feel free to ask for more assistance. Please respond only to the mail list ([email protected]) and not directly to me. -- Use OpenOffice.org <http://www.openoffice.org> --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
