The OO help browser didn't seem to address this... OpenOffice.org2\user\uno_packages will not be touched by the 'update' version ... OpenOffice.org 2.3\share\uno_packages shouldn't too ... (... but there's the experience with 'dictionary.lst', which is always overwritten ...)
