... so these are the directories, where extensions are installed actually:

<...>\OpenOffice.org2\user\uno_packages
<...>\OpenOffice.org 2.3\share\uno_packages

Have a look at the folders, open the sub folders ...   ;-)

If you want - yes; the .zip/.oxt files will be unzipped to the folders above.

OpenOffice.org2\user\uno_packages will not be touched by the 'update'
version ...

OpenOffice.org 2.3\share\uno_packages shouldn't too ...
(... but there's the experience with 'dictionary.lst', which is always
overwritten ...)
