Hello Larry - thanks for your tip. I've just tried it and despite pointing all MS office docs to be opened by OO I only see a blank OO word processor page (Writer) when I try to open .doc documents and even when I try to open .xls files OO always opens a blank Writer page while it should open the Spreadsheet application and the xls file inside....
I am getting lost - thought it would be easier to use OO in Mac OS environment:( Many thanks in advance for any ideas how to fix this. M. Try this Go to one of your MS docs in finder. Right click (or ctrl/click) on it. Click 'Get Info' Towards the bottom of the information box that opens is "Open with:" Set OpenOffice.org in that setting, then click on 'Change all'. You will need to do this with every MS Office file type. -- Larry I.
