I too recognize that this is an all volunteer list and I presume that the moderators are also not paid for their services on the list.
However, I agree with Marco and will add an additional reason why having poor to useless subject lines is unfortunate. While my own computer experience ranges over 40 years, my experience with office software is much more limited. While I HAVE asked for help here from time to time (and many thanks to the individuals that have provided such excellent assistance) most of the time I try to learn what I need from reading questions and answers provided in the postings of others. Of course I look at the subject lines to determine if I should bother to scan the message or not. Since I receive the list via digest mode, I get LOTS of messages that have essentially no subject line. Again I respect that the moderators are busy people but please when you scan a message try to ensure that the subject line gives some hint as to what the message is about.
