Method 1: Use a downloadable update to automatically re-enable all file types
Microsoft has created a set of updates to re-enable all file types. To install
the updates, follow these steps:
1.Download the appropriate files from the Microsoft Download Center. To do
this, click one or more of the following links:
.To re-enable Word file types only, save the following file to a folder on the
computer:

folder on the computer:

Note You must log on to the computer as a user who has administrator rights to
re-enable the CorelDraw (CDR) file type.
2.Double-click the file that you saved in step 1.
3.Click Yes to confirm the installation of the file.
4.If an Office program is running, restart the Office program.
